Plan to join fellow Flint Hill parents at this round-robin tennis tournament followed by a light lunch and raffle. Whether you are advanced or new to the game, this is a wonderful opportunity to meet other families and enjoy a day of tennis on the beautiful Upper School Tennis courts. Players of all levels are welcome. The event is free, but we do ask that you to register in advance. Spaces are limited to the first 40 registrants! Volunteer needs are light for this event, but we encourage parents of all skill-levels to participate!
October 21-22. Join the Flint Hill community for a weekend filled with athletic events, food and fun for the entire family, beginning Friday evening with the Powder Puff football game and bonfire. In addition to free hot chocolate and water, the PA sells pizza and chicken sandwiches under the PA Spirit Tent. Come Saturday for athletics & family friendly activities! Volunteer opportunities include serving dinner, helping in the School Store, Concessions, face painting, temporary tattoos, giveaways and more!
The Flint Hill Holiday Shoppes
A Flint Hill tradition featuring more than 30 boutique vendors of high quality jewelry, home decor, clothing, accessories, food and much more. Many volunteers are needed on the day of the event and online volunteer signup is coming soon. Lower and Middle School Hot Lunch Program
On Thursdays, we box pizzas, deliver to classrooms, serve to Middle Schoolers, and collect bags for classrooms. You can join one team (for a monthly opportunity) or join more than one team to make it a bi-monthly, or weekly opportunity.
This is a free event- held in August and March and is a great opportunity to get jump-start on preparing for the next school year. Many helpful volunteers are needed to help setup and sort donated uniforms the day before the event as well as during the Exchange.
Hut and Grill Team and Igloo
Do you enjoy seeing your Upper School student and friends after school? This is a great opportunity for you! The Igloo (inside the Upper School) is open after school from 2:30-3:30 p.m. and during some athletic events. The Husky Hut (outside near the Athletic Fields) is also open during many sporting events. Volunteers are needed for working the snack bar and grilling during the fall and spring athletic seasons. Flint Hill Fund
The Flint Hill Fund is the largest fundraiser for the school providing critical funds for every program and every person in our school. Volunteers serve in a variety of ways as Grade Chairs or Alumni Class Representatives or can simply attend a phonathon for a couple hours to make calls to fellow parents or alumni.
Miller House Mailings
Volunteer opportunities involve helping the Development Office with various mailings including the Annual Fund, Alumni, and Parents Association.
Help promote this fundraising program by collecting your own boxtops and encouraging friends and family to do so as well. Check your household items for Boxtops and cut them out. Drop them off at Collection Boxes on the Lower and MIddle School Campus in Miller House, or Division Offices, or on the Upper School Campus at the front reception desk. A volunteer group gathers a few times a year to clip and send into the company to be redeemed for cash for our School!
Do you enjoy baking? Help is needed on an on-call basis to provide baked goods for various events including Teacher Appreciation events, The Holiday Shoppes Bake Sale, and as additional opportunities arise.
Help us recognize our outstanding faculty and staff as we provide special treats throughout the year and end with a final luncheon.
Help with two Special Olympic events hosted on campus: one in the fall and one in the Spring.
This is a fun-filled day for families to cheer on our Boys’ and Girls’ JV and Varsity Basketball teams. There will be inflatables, spirit giveaways, and more! Many volunteers from all divisions of the school are needed to decorate, help with activities and concessions, and in the School Store.
Similar to Homecoming and Winterfest, Springfest is a day filled with sporting events, food and fun activities for everyone. The day begins with a 5K and Fun Run around the track and cross country course, followed by Athletic events and family friends activities. Volunteers are needed to work in the Hut, staff activity booths.set up, and decorate.
Grandparents & Special Friends Day
This event is a time when students in the Lower and Middle schools showcase their work for their Grandparents and Special Friends. Volunteers are needed to help promote the event, registration,escort guests around the school, set up and serve breakfast.
All levels of golfers are welcome. Be a “Husky Sponsor” and bring your foursome for a day on the links while supporting the Parents’ Association Endowment for Financial Aid in Honor of Sally Hazel. Or, register as an individual and we will place you in a foursome. Not a golfer? Volunteers are needed to solicit raffle donations and player prizes, serve as hole-in-one contest witnesses, assemble player welcome bags, and decorate the clubhouse for dinner.
