 | The Middle School Music program brings together all the elements of previous work in the Lower School. Students choose among instrumental or choral music classes and attend classes with other members of their Grade. There are six instrumental ensembles available in which students are grouped by Grade and ability.
Fifth and Sixth Grade students are eligible for Grade-level Chorus, Beginning/Intermediate Band, Beginning/Intermediate Percussion Ensemble and Beginning/Intermediate Orchestra. Students in Grades 7 and 8s are eligible for Seventh/Eighth Grade Chorus, Advanced Band, Advanced Percussion Ensemble, and Advanced Orchestra. In select cases, Sixth Grade students may be eligible for Advanced Ensembles. Each ensemble performs at least twice yearly, and Advanced Ensembles participate in a Spring Trip and All-District Competition. |
