Step 1: Experience an Open House |

 Step 2: Apply for Admission Application Fee: To begin your child's application process, families are invited to submit the Application for Admission along with a $50 application fee. Submit an Application:

 Step 3: Schedule and Submit Testing Testing is required for applicants to Transitional Kindergarten through Grade 12.
- Applicants for Transitional Kindergarten-Kindergarten are required to submit the Gesell.
- Applicants for Grade I are required to submit the Gesell or WISC-IV.
- Applicants for Grades 2-3 are required to submit the WISC-IV.
- Applicants for Grades 4-8 are required to submit the SSAT.
- Applicants for Grades 9-12 are required to submit the SSAT, PSAT or SAT.
The Gesell is offered at Flint Hill School beginning in January at no cost to the applicant. Please see the list of testers for the WISC-IV.
Register for the SSAT at www.ssat.org. Our school code is 3173. If you are unavailable for the national test dates, please contact Educational Connections (703-934-8282) or The Petersen Academic Group (703-391-1280) to schedule the SSAT.

 Step 4: Submit Supporting Materials Once an application is received, a file is created and supporting materials are added as we receive them. All supporting materials may be found on this webpage in the "Admission Forms" section. Supporting materials include:
- Teacher Recommendations
- Transcript/Progress Report
- Candidate Questionnaire (Grades 7-12)
Online Teacher Recommendations
Flint Hill School asks for a teacher recommendation from the applicant’s current teacher. Teacher recommendations are confidential and should be submitted online. Applicants for JK - Grade 5 are required to submit one teacher recommendation. Applicants for Grades 6–12 are required to submit two recommendations: English and Math. After the parent of the applicant registers online, your teacher will receive an email prompt to complete the recommendation. If you have questions about the online teacher recommendation, contact Fé Patriciu, 703-584-2310. If you experience any technical difficulty, please contact Schoolrecs Support at 1-888-450-8821 or SchoolRecsSupport@infosnap.com.
Transcript/Progress Report (if applicable) Download and sign the Permission for Schools to Release Student Transcripts and Records form, and submit it directly to your current school. Official transcripts must come directly from the current school to Flint Hill School. Candidate Questionnaire Applicants for Grades 7-12 must complete the Candidate Questionnaire. Once the Candidate Questionnaire has been completed by the applicant, please save it as a PDF and e-mail it as an attachment to admission@flinthill.org with the applicant’s name and grade in the subject line. |

 Step 5: Parent Interview
An interview allows parents and students to ask questions about our School community and also gives us the opportunity to learn more about your family. Interviews are scheduled daily by appointment.
