    ORIENTATION INFO

    LOWER SCHOOL

    • First Day of School: Wednesday, August 27
    • Hopes and Dreams Conferences: To gain a better understanding of each child and facilitate a strong partnership with parents for the school year ahead, homeroom teachers will host 20-minute in-person Hopes and Dreams Conferences for parents on Monday, August 25, and Tuesday, August 26. Parents will be invited to sign up for the conferences using our online scheduling system beginning Monday, August 11.

    MIDDLE SCHOOL

    • First Day of School: Wednesday, August 27
    • Parent-Advisor Conferences: Monday, August 25, and Tuesday, August 26. Parents can sign up for the conferences using our online scheduling system beginning Monday, August 11. Classes begin on Wednesday, August 27, with a blend of orientation and community-building activities over the first three days.
    • Middle School Parent Virtual Orientation: Monday, August 25, 9:00-10:00 a.m.

    UPPER SCHOOL

    • First Day of School: Monday, August 25. The first two days of school will be dedicated to orientation and community-building activities. Classes will begin on Wednesday, August 27.
    • On Thursday, August 28, at 5:30 p.m., Parents of 9th graders and New Upper School parents are invited to learn from Head of School Patrick McHonett, Upper School Director Chris Tennyson, and Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement Meredith VanDuyne about ways to partner with Flint Hill in support of your student. Remarks will be followed by time to socialize and build parent connections.

    ORDER SCHOOL ATTIRE NOW

    We recommend ordering school dress items now, as orders for items may experience delays later in the summer. The dress guidelines for each division are on the Preparing for the 2025-26 School Year tile on the Husky Hub Resource Board.

    The online School Store is your one-stop shop for logo wear, spirit wear, P.E. uniforms, and athletic practice clothing.

    A uniform exchange will be offered in August before the start of the school year.

    UPPER SCHOOL FALL ATHLETICS RESOURCES

    Upper School Fall Preseason information can be found on the Athletics tile of the Resource Board in Husky Hub. All tryout dates and times are posted for the fall. Summer workout information will be emailed to all roster members by the coach directly. All students will be placed on the varsity rosters of their chosen sport until the completion of tryouts. Once teams have been designated, students will be placed according to the teams they were selected for. If you have any questions regarding a particular sport, please contact the head coach or Director of Athletics Dewayne Robinson.

    ✅ REQUIRED BACK-TO-SCHOOL FORMS

    These online forms are required for student attendance at orientation, registration, classes, and for participation in all school-sponsored activities such as athletics and field studies.

    The forms can be found in Husky Hub. After you log in, a yellow block will appear on the top part of the page with a message detailing the number of forms pending review. After clicking the link, you will be guided to the list of forms for your child/ren. If you receive an error message while completing your forms or have questions, please contact Enrollment Services Manager Sarah Speight.

    ✅ BUS SERVICE SIGN-UP

    ✅ REQUIRED STUDENT HEALTH FORMS

    The Magnus Health system provides a convenient way for all required health forms to be entered electronically and allows for continuous access to your child’s health record throughout the year. The forms are required for student attendance at orientation, registration, classes, and for participation in all school-sponsored activities such as athletics and field studies.

    Student Health Forms are accessible through the Student Health Forms tile of the Resource Board. There is also a link on each checklist of the Preparing for the 2025-26 School Year tile. The deadline to submit health forms is Friday, August 1.

    To assist families who have an interest in forming a new carpool or adding to an existing one, we will launch the carpool availability feature in the Student Directory in July. This resource may be especially helpful to new families who are not served by one of our existing bus routes.
