The fall athletic season proved to be a very successful one as three varsity teams won post-season championships. The Varsity Girls’ Soccer team culminated their regular season success by winning the Northern Virginia Independent School Tournament. As the 2 seed, the Huskies defeated Bishop Ireton in the semi-finals by a score of 5-3. Led by Whitney Wiley ’19, Flint Hill then went on to defeat a very talented Potomac School team 2-0 to capture the title.
The Varsity Volleyball team defended their triple crown (Conference, Metro City, and State) and ended their season with an overall record of 30-1. The Huskies defeated Paul VI in the VISAA Division I State Tournament Championship match 3-1. Krissy O’Malley ’19 was named VISAA Division I Player of the Year while Sydney Reed ’20, Denver Pugh ’20 and Elayna Duprey ’21 were selected to the All-State teams. The state championship was the 9th title in the program’s history.
The Varsity Football team was able to reach its goal of going undefeated and winning back-to-back state titles. With an overall record of 11-0, the Huskies outscored their opponents 495-90. In the state championship game against Benedictine, Flint Hill won 36-14 and were led offensively by Jordan Houston ’19 and Miles Thompson ’19.
