Flint Hill’s athletic teams began the 2019-2020 school year with an exciting and outstanding fall season. The Varsity Volleyball team finished the season with a 31-1 overall record and a #1 ranking in the Washington Post All Met final poll. Led by All Met Player of the year Sydney Reed ‘20, the Huskies captured the program’s 10th State Championship. Reed was also named VISAA Player of the Year and the Virginia State Gatorade Player of the Year. Flint Hill’s Varsity Football team enjoyed another successful campaign as they won their third straight MAC championship. The Huskies were led by Wake Forest signee Justice Ellison ‘20 who excelled on both sides of the ball. The Varsity Girls’ Soccer team had a very respectable season while competing in the tough AA Division of the ISL. They again qualified for the Northern Virginia Independent School Tournament. In Cross Country, Kayla Moxley ‘21, finished 5th at the VISAA State meet, which was the best finish by a female runner in many years.
