Success continued for our winter sports teams as the Huskies added more championships to the 2019-2020 school year. The Varsity Boys’ Basketball team won their third straight MAC Championship and again qualified for the VISAA State Tournament. The Huskies had one of the toughest schedules in the DMV and were led by a core group of seniors that included George Washington University signee Noel Brown, Justice Ellison, Dowar Jioklow, Daniel Ferguson, Justin Fraser, Devin Host, and Ronald Ayers. The Varsity Girls’ Basketball team began their season by capturing the Flint Hill Tip-Off Classic Championship as they defeated conference rival Episcopal High School in the finals. The Varsity Boys’ Swim & Dive team won their second straight MAC Championship where University of Virginia commit Oliver Mills ‘20 led the Huskies and was named VISAA Diver of the Year. For the second consecutive year, the Varsity Boys’ Climbing team won the Washington Area Interscholastic Climbing League title. The Huskies were led by All League performers Kian Shah ‘21, Ben Ephraim ‘20, and Abby Ward ‘21.
