Upper School Cybersecurity Club Earns Gold in National Competition

Congratulations to Flint Hill Upper School's Cybersecurity Club for placing 11th in the nation and 4th in the state in the CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense Competition semifinals.

CyberPatriot’s Competition challenges teams of high school and middle school students to find and fix cybersecurity vulnerabilities in virtual operating systems. Using a proprietary competition system, teams are scored on how secure they make the system. Top teams advance through the online round of competition, and the best of the best advance to the in-person National Finals Competition.

The Flint Hill team competed with over 5,000 other teams across the nation, using their ethical hacking skills to solve the types of cybersecurity threats professionals face every day. This year's team achieved the highest ranking the club has earned in the eight years they have competed.

Flint Hill students have the opportunity to explore Cybersecurity in the school's club or the year-long Cybersecurity course.
