    Message From Division Director

Many thanks to everyone who volunteered and supported last week’s extremely successful Day of Play. Our Huskies had so much fun learning, collaborating, trying (and re-trying!) and exploring with one another’s Jurassic builds. Thank you for helping our students learn and make memories — and we look forward to doing it again next year!

Below, please find important information related to Monday’s Halloween activities, as well as next week’s Parent Conferences, among many other fun and exciting opportunities to connect with the school.

We look forward to continuing to partner with all of our families in the coming days and weeks.

    With gratitude,
    Patrick

Lower School faculty look forward to welcoming parents for a 20-minute conference to discuss student progress on Thursday, November 3, and Friday, November 4. Celebrating Halloween at the Lower School

The Lower School will celebrate Halloween on Monday, October 31. Children may attend school in their full costume. Wearing a costume is optional, and it will be designated a free dress day for those who chose not to participate. Please be mindful that gruesome/violent costumes, masks and weapons of any kind are not permitted. When selecting a costume, we also appreciate children being respectful of ethnic and cultural sensitivities and mindful not to reinforce cultural stereotypes.

Students in Grades JK-3 are invited to march with their class in the Annual Halloween Parade. Parents are welcome to attend the parade at 8:30 a.m. in the Lower School Gym. After the parade, at 9:15 a.m., students in Grades JK-3 will enjoy a special snack (a donut from Dunkin Donuts).

Students in Grades 4-6 are invited to participate in a Spooky Scavenger Hunt on campus from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a kickball game in the Lower School Gym. Parents are also welcome to join the fun for either or both of these events.

Early Admission Process for Siblings — November 1 Deadline

As a reminder, we are offering members of our Husky family an early start to the admission process for siblings who do not currently attend Flint Hill and are interested in applying for the 2023-24 school year.

If you have a child who is not currently enrolled at Flint Hill and you are interested in the application process for the 2023-24 school year, please complete the admission process by the Tuesday, November 1 deadline. Applications completed by November 1 will receive an admission notification by mid-December.
