Message From Division Director
It was great to have everyone back in the building this week. While we have focused on all of the wonderful aspects of in-person learning that we have been missing — collaboration, socializing, community-building, etc. — we have also implemented some familiar safety protocols, at least for the time being. As previously noted, masks will be required for indoor athletics (which the leagues had adjusted for the winter season). We will eat in advisory rooms to ensure better spacing while students are unmasked. Perhaps most importantly, students will be held more accountable for proper mask use. Some students have needed frequent reminders — whether due to lack of awareness, rejection of the risk, or the need to push limits. With the wake-up call of the past few weeks, I will do more to ensure that all students are wearing masks that fit and remain completely over their mouth and nose. We are grateful to be back on campus and will continue to provide a rich learning environment for our students.

Director of the Middle School
