Upper School Newsletter - February 2, 2022
Message From Division Director
Thinking Future?
Lately, there has been a great deal of thinking about the near future at Flint Hill and also in the Paige household. We recently celebrated the “100 Days to Graduation” mark for our Class of 2022, an event that often makes the seniors’ departure seem rather imminent. With the beginning of the second semester, many students and advisors have started informal conversations regarding their next year’s classes. The official course registration process will be explained and outlined in an upcoming future newsletter. Lastly, if your house is like mine then there was a multitude of discussions about summer camps and summer plans this past weekend. It is exciting to see all of this planning taking place, and I hope that students who want advice about any of these plans feel free to talk to their advisor, the grade dean, the academic dean, or any of the other support staff here at Flint Hill!
Covid Policies
We are very pleased to see that the spread in our community has tapered off since the height of the Omicron wave back in late December and early January. This allowed us to reopen the Igloo for snacks during the day, and I just heard this morning that the sports leagues are going to start allowing spectators again very soon. The Upper School admin staff are also reviewing some of the recently made changes, with an eye toward allowing more freedom if we continue to see low-community spread. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we try to keep everyone in school, while at the same time allowing many of the freedoms that make the upper school unique.

Director of the Upper School
