Golf for All!

As you may imagine, I am not a golfer. I am not even that good at miniature golf, but I love the Flint Hill Golf Invitational!

Every year, I volunteer to help greet golfers, set up raffle tables and assemble gift baskets. It is such a fun day to be outside. A few years ago, I was “promoted” to be a hole in one witness. They gave my buddy Mike McClements P '18, ‘26 and I a golf cart along with the official title of “hole in one witness”. Our job was to sit at the 5th hole at Westfields Golf Club and wait for someone to claim the $10,000 prize by sinking a hole in one. Well, no one got a hole in one that day, but Mike and I had the best time — and we made sure everyone around us did as well!

With every foursome that came by, we met more people who love Flint Hill and love to have a good time. So, if you like to golf and are ready to have the best day, sign up for the Flint Hill Golf Invitational!

If you don’t golf but would like to learn how, or if spending a couple hours laughing with Mica Howard P '19 and I sounds fun, then sign up for the golf clinic. Join us for a 90-minute lesson followed by lunch in the clubhouse.

Westfields is supplying the golf clubs — you just need to show up ready to have a good time.  The clinic is limited to 40 spots so grab your visor and follow the link to the registration. I can’t think of a better way to meet fellow Husky parents!

I hope you all join us at the beautiful Westfields Golf Club for an excellent day of golf - all to support the Parents’ Association Endowment for Financial Aid in Honor of Sally Hazel. If you can’t come out that day, there are other ways to support the event: sponsor a hole or a portion of the tourney, donate to the raffle, volunteer throughout the day or leading up to it.

Visit the webpage for more details, or reach out to me and I will connect you!

Go Huskies!
