Love
If you know anything about me you will know that I fall in love quickly. When I was 18 and a recent high school graduate, my father sent me to Turkey to learn his mother tongue. Pretty much as soon as I got there, I fell in love (with my now husband), and six months later, we married. I never looked back. My Turkish is still not that great.
Thirteen years ago, I walked into Flint Hill’s Lower School, and I fell in love. I fell in love with the classrooms, the teachers and even Klondike! I never looked back. I remember crying each year at back-to-school night, thinking about how lucky my son was to be a student here.
So, my go-to emotion is love. Once I love you, I also expect a lot from you and for you to love me as much as I love you. That goes for my husband, my friends and even Flint Hill.
One of the biggest reasons I love Flint Hill so much is because it loves me back. Every time I ask the school to give me more, it somehow manages to do so.
I am so excited for the next four months at FH and for the Husky Love that I hope you all will feel. We have so much fun planned! Please volunteer when you can, and come to everything you are able to; I’ll be there!
Go Huskies!
