Message From Our Parents’ Association President – September 28, 2022

Homecoming is a favorite tradition of the Flint Hill School community, and it’s just a few weeks away. It is one of our family’s favorite events, especially the bonfire! Be sure to mark your calendars and join us. Here’s what you need to know:

  • When: October 14-15 is Homecoming weekend. Activities start during the school day for students (Pep Rally) and continue throughout the weekend, including a bonfire Friday night (6:30 p.m.). Athletic games are scheduled for both days, and there will be various events and activities for all ages. The Homecoming website features the schedule of events and activities.
  • Where: Middle and Upper School Campus. A map will be available on the Homecoming website a week in advance.
  • Why: Creating and celebrating moments of school pride for the entire school community. Students, parents, employees, alumni, and alumni parents return to campus, and our Husky pride will be in full force as we cheer on our student-athletes and make meaningful connections with each other.
  • How: Pulling that sled together — Homecoming weekend is a time when the entire community contributes to making the weekend a success. We need your help — more than 112 volunteers are needed for a range of fun roles, from spirit giveaways to selling concessions. Whether you’re a volunteer “pro” or a first-timer, this is a great way to meet new friends and make a difference while you show your school spirit. Sign up to volunteer.

As always, please reach out if you have questions or suggestions. We’re eager to engage with you and your family.

Warmly,

KayAnn Schoeneman P ’28
