Reflections of Gratitude and Looking Ahead to December!

Attending Flint Hill’s annual Nutcracker performance over the weekend really has me in the holiday spirit! I look forward to it each year — seeing the student performers, who have practiced so hard, beaming with pride and the beautiful sets designed by the student crew. It’s also fun to look closely and see the teachers and administrators who willingly volunteered to show a different side of themselves! Bravo and congratulations to all involved!!

As we approach Thanksgiving, I am filled with so much gratitude, and I could spend this entire newsletter sharing stories about the many people and experiences that I am grateful for!

I wish you all the best for a happy and healthy Thanksgiving. Rest while you can, because when we return, the Flint Hill momentum will be in full speed!

Giving Tuesday and the December Days of Giving are globally recognized movements to celebrate acts of giving. Here at Flint Hill, it’s an opportunity for us to shine a light on the incredible students, teachers, and programs that make Flint Hill the incredible place it is. Our gifts to the Annual Fund make a difference by strengthening those programs and the school.

Then, it’s right into the Tip-Off Classic, which officially marks the beginning of an exciting basketball season for our boys’ and girls’ teams. This is one of my favorite events each year because of the competition, school spirit and community time together! Come volunteer with me throughout the weekend at the Igloo Outpost, which will be located outside the Upper School in the deCamp Garden! Food trucks, hot chocolate and school spirit abound!

Before the first Flint Hill game begins, we will come together to assemble power packs for Food For Others — yet another way for our Flint Hill family to come together and make a difference for those in need. View the schedule and all volunteer opportunities here.
