Reunited and It Feels So Good!
Hello families!
It is absolutely wonderful seeing Flint Hill come completely alive with all three divisions in session! I took a trip down memory lane last week. After dropping off my son at the Upper School, I couldn’t help but pop by the Lower School on their opening day. Seeing the eager and adorable young Huskies arriving and noticing how much the fifth and sixth graders have grown over the summer holds a very special place in my heart — not to mention the very happy parents waving farewell from their cars! I saw the tears, air high-fives, a few extra long hugs, and of course, the happy dances!
You don’t have to be a parent of a Lower School student to visit this special campus. I am excited to extend an invitation to all JK-12 parents and guardians to join me at the first Miller House Monday, taking place on Monday, September 13, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. After dropoff, come by the Lower School and meet me on the porch of the Miller House (the historic home located on the left upon entering the Lower School Campus). Please park in any of the visitor spaces next to Miller House or Hazel Lower School. If those are filled, use the empty spaces in the parking lot behind the Activity Center or by the basketball courts. Please don’t park in the Miller House circle.
This is a wonderful time to meet parents across grade levels and enjoy a casual morning. There is no set schedule, just getting to know one another. I look forward to seeing you there!
Lastly, I try to be everywhere on campus every day in some manner. I want to connect with you, hear your stories, and learn how you want to be involved. Please, if you see me, come to say hello or give me a call or email.
Go Huskies!
