The Head of School – April 15, 2026
April 15, 2026
Flint Hill Community,
Tonight, our community will gather for one of Flint Hill’s signature anchor experiences: Arts Jam 2026, taking place at George Mason University’s Center for the Arts. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. (Directions and parking instructions available here.)
Free and open to all, Arts Jam is far more than a concert — it is a joyful expression of who we are as a school, bringing together students, families, faculty, and friends to celebrate the talent, dedication, and spirit of our Upper School performing artists. In that way, it beautifully reflects our Strategic Vision to foster distinctive anchor events that strengthen community bonds, deepen Husky pride, and celebrate the excellence of our students.
This year’s performance, centered on the theme of identity through music and inspired by the iconic sound of The Who, promises to showcase the very best of Flint Hill’s performing arts program. Our percussion, choir, band, and musical theater ensembles will take the stage in collaborative performances that highlight not only artistic skill, but also the creativity, courage, and teamwork that define meaningful learning at Flint Hill. These are the kinds of opportunities our strategic vision calls us toward: high-caliber experiences in the fine arts that empower students to take meaningful risks, create boldly, and shine brightly.
Arts Jam also reminds us that the arts are essential to a Flint Hill education. In every rehearsal, every transition between ensembles, and every student willing to step into the spotlight, we see young people growing in confidence, expression, and connection. We see our mission and Core Values in action — students learning and communicating collaboratively within a context of strong relationships, while imagining what’s possible and blazing their own trail.
I hope you will join us tonight. Whether your child is performing or simply cheering on classmates and friends, Arts Jam is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to celebrate the shared joy, excellence, and community spirit that make Flint Hill such a special place.
Go Huskies!
