From The Head of School – August 9, 2023

August 9, 2023

Flint Hill Community,

Welcome to the 23-24 School Year! While I know that families are aptly enjoying these last few weeks of summer, on campus we're in the throes of final preparations for the coming school year.

Throughout the academic year, this biweekly newsletter will be your family's "go-to" source for news and information about Flint Hill, and is archived online for easy reference. Between these communications and our plentiful resources available on Husky Hub, families should ideally be able to have a good sense of what's expected, what's to come, and any actions necessary for a smooth school year. However, always know that we are open to any questions you may have - please never hesitate to reach out to our dedicated team for help.

This space - my Head of School messages - will be one that I'll seek to use to reflect, engage, and inform alongside you, our Flint Hill Community throughout the year. I hope that you'll take a few moments to check it out, along with the notes from our respective Division Directors, to gain an understanding of who we are and where we're going as a school. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, please know that I consider this work and our ongoing partnership with our families as an open dialogue. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, ideas, appreciation, or feedback of your family's Flint Hill experience. If not in this newsletter, I will always respond directly to you to learn more.

Our Flint Hill team and I are so excited to get this school year rolling, and cannot wait until our halls, classrooms, fields, and performance spaces are filled with engaged Huskies working alongside expert faculty and staff. For the time being, however, please enjoy these next couple of weeks, and know that we'll be ready for that first day of school- and we hope your Huskies will be, as well!

Go Huskies!
