The Head of School – April 1, 2026
April 1, 2026
Flint Hill Community,
I hope you all enjoyed a safe, restful, and joyful spring break. As our classrooms and campuses came back to life this week, there has been a renewed sense of energy and excitement across our community.
A special word of thanks goes to the many faculty and staff members who gave of their own break time to support meaningful student experiences near and far. From our spring varsity teams competing in tournaments around the country, to Upper School students immersed in cultural learning experiences in Greece and Spain, to our Science Olympiad team representing Flint Hill at the state competition in Charlottesville — and earning a gold medal in Cybersecurity — our Huskies were learning, competing, and blazing trails well beyond campus. We are deeply grateful to the coaches, teachers, and chaperones who made these experiences possible.
Back on campus, spring break also created space for important facilities and campus improvement projects. You may notice updates to landscaping and other enhancements across our campuses, as well as early preparations for the planned refresh of the interior workspaces in Miller House. My thanks to our facilities team and all those whose steady work helps maintain and improve the beautiful spaces our community enjoys every day.
Looking ahead, April is one of the most vibrant and event-filled stretches of the school year — full of opportunities to connect, celebrate, and support Flint Hill. Over the next three weeks alone, our community will enjoy a wide range of parent-centered events, including the Parent Education Series and Parents’ Association gatherings like the Tennis Social and Topgolf outing; celebrations of student creativity through Arts Jam and the Upper School Visual Arts Show; and, of course, our adults-only community celebration, A Night on the Hill.
I hope you are able to carve out time for one or more of these special events. This is a wonderful season to celebrate the talents, spirit, and excellence of our Flint Hill community.
Go Huskies!
