The Head of School – August 6, 2025

August 6, 2025
Dear Flint Hill Community,
With just a few short weeks until the start of the school year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation as we prepare to welcome our Huskies back to campus!
Final touches on our summer campus updates are nearly complete, summer camps are wrapping up, and we’re gearing up to greet new faculty and staff as well as Upper School athletes arriving for fall preseason activities. In short, the energy is building and we’re just about ready to kick off the 2025-26 school year. I hope you and your students are feeling just as eager to get rolling!
As we look ahead, I want to share a few exciting updates that await you this fall:
Enhanced Campus Spaces
Our Upper School will feature refreshed, flexible learning spaces designed to inspire collaboration and creativity. Students will notice new Commons furniture, a revitalized Robotics classroom, and renovated Learning Centers. We’ve also brought together leaders of our Student Success team into a single, centralized location within the Upper School Learning Commons to better support students.
Evolving Academics
Across all divisions, we’ve made intentional enhancements to elevate teaching and learning. The new Lower School schedule offers a more balanced experience for students and faculty and brings it into greater alignment with our Middle and Upper School programs. Updated academic policies in the Middle and Upper School will provide students with even more meaningful ways to demonstrate mastery of learning. And our expanded approach to college advising will deepen our support of Upper School students’ academic and college planning journeys.
Welcoming New Huskies
We are thrilled to welcome 21 new educators and staff members to the Flint Hill team this year! They bring a wide range of expertise and experiences that will enrich our classrooms and community. When paired with our outstanding returning faculty and staff, we are proud of the dynamic and professional culture taking root here at Flint Hill. Please join me in giving our newest Huskies a warm welcome as they arrive on campus.
Enjoy these final days of summer. We can't wait to see all our students, faculty, and families back on campus very soon.
Go Huskies!
