FROM THE Head of School – October 7, 2026
October 7, 2026
Flint Hill Community,
From cross-divisional pep rallies and student-led sports clinics to an unforgettable, rain-soaked Friday night football game, this year’s Homecoming was a wonderful reminder of what makes our JK–12 Husky community so special.
What stood out to me most was the way our students, families, and alumni showed up for one another across all ages — and how everyone rallied together with big smiles even when the weather had other plans! I invite you to read my full reflections on our Husky Highlights blog to see how these moments of mentorship, spirit, and community connection made this Homecoming one to remember.
One of the gifts of our community is that students can quite literally see what comes next. A Lower School student can watch a varsity athlete, musician, artist, or student leader and begin to imagine themselves in that role someday. At the same time, our oldest students are continually reminded that younger Huskies are watching how they compete, perform, lead, respond to adversity, and care for one another. Those connections bring out the best in all of our Huskies.
Homecoming provides a wonderful anchor for those experiences, and it has us thinking intentionally about other opportunities to create similar moments across the school — including experiences that extend well beyond athletics.
Next up will be Community Fest on Saturday, November 14, where the Husky community is invited to gather for an afternoon of connection, global cuisines, cultural performances, and collaborative activities celebrating our rich diversity. Then in the spring, we’ll host our inaugural Arts Fest — a brand-new JK-12 community event on campus which brings together musical performances and visual exhibitions from our Upper School students to celebrate all things fine arts.
For now, I am grateful to the many students, employees, coaches, families, alumni, and volunteers who made Homecoming such a joyful — and memorable — expression of Flint Hill.
Go Huskies!
