The Head of School – April 29, 2026

Flint Hill Community,
What a vibrant recent stretch it has been at Flint Hill.
From Arts Jam and the Upper School Visual Arts Show, to athletics Senior Nights, the Middle School Science Exhibition, and so much more, the talents, hard work, and spirit of our students and community have been on full display in recent weeks. Across classrooms, stages, galleries, fields, courts, labs, and gathering spaces, we have seen the breadth of the Flint Hill experience come to life.
This past weekend, we hosted two spring anchor events that I look forward to every year: Night on the Hill and Alumni Reunion Weekend. Each, in its own way, reminded me of the power of connection within this community — among current families, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the School.
Night on the Hill
On Friday evening, we hosted our annual Night on the Hill adults-only community event. This year’s theme — 80s Prom — was a huge hit. Whether dressed as Madonna, Don Johnson, Prince, Teen Wolf, or simply ready to enjoy a fun night out, hundreds of members of our JK-12 community came together to celebrate and connect.
One of the things I love most about Night on the Hill is its simplicity of purpose: no fundraising, no formal program — just fun, fellowship, and Husky spirit. It is a chance for the adults in our community to build relationships with one another, because those connections strengthen the experience for all of our students and families.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special shoutout to our generous sponsors: Chris and AJ Andreas P'29, P'31, Lauren and Brian Concklin P'30, Distinctive Dermatology, Nova Dental Practice — Drs. Long Pham and Erica Sok — and Laura Schwartz, realtor.
Alumni Reunion Weekend
On Saturday, we welcomed alumni back to campus for our annual Alumni Reunion events, including our Falcon BBQ, which honors and reconnects alumni from the School’s Flint Hill Prep days. This year, we were especially proud to celebrate members of the Class of 1976 as they marked their 50th Reunion.
Throughout the day, alumni gathered for the Class of 2016 time capsule openings, a nature walk with beloved retired faculty member Fred Atwood, and tours of campus spaces that have certainly evolved since many of our graduates last walked these halls. That evening, we hosted our largest alumni gathering ever — welcoming more than 140 Flint Hill alumni, along with current and former faculty and staff, for a reception and dinners filled with laughter, memories, and shared appreciation for the ties that bind generations of Huskies together.
Alumni Reunion Weekend is always a powerful reminder that a Flint Hill education does not end at graduation. The relationships formed here — with classmates, teachers, coaches, advisors, and the School itself — continue to shape lives long after Commencement.
Together, these two events beautifully reflect the aspirations of our Strategic Vision, particularly the third pillar: One Husky Team. Through our efforts to “Foster Connection” and “Leverage Our Alumni Network,” we are deepening and strengthening the spirited, inclusive community that makes Flint Hill so special.
As we round into the final weeks of the school year, there will be many more opportunities to gather, celebrate, and lift up our Huskies — from the Upper School musical this weekend, to end-of-year concerts, final athletics competitions, divisional celebrations, and other important milestones. I hope you will take the opportunity to show up, show out, and share your Husky pride.
Go Huskies!
