Pathway of a Student

We believe in the incredible potential of every student, focusing on the day-to-day choices that shape who they are and inspire who they'll become.

Most schools share their Portrait of a Graduate, a set of traits or ideals that they believe their students should have upon graduating. We do things differently. We focus on the process and the journey that each student embarks on, from grades JK through 12. To that point, our guiding focus is called Pathway of a Student.

Ethical Citizens

Students act with honesty, accountability, empathy, and respect, recognizing their responsibilities to others and the broader community. Over time, they emerge as global citizens who approach the world with appreciation, empathy, and optimism, actively embracing diverse cultures, identities, experiences, and ideas.

Inclusive Leaders

Students lead, collaborate, and communicate with empathy, purpose, and integrity. Over time, they develop the ability to listen actively, provide thoughtful feedback, inspire positive participation, take responsibility for shared outcomes, bring out the best in themselves and others, and make a meaningful impact. 

Effective Communicators

Students engage critically with multiple perspectives, communicate with clarity and purpose, and collaborate to deepen understanding. Over time, they learn to challenge assumptions with evidence, consider the intent and impact of their words and actions, and contribute to intellectually challenging learning communities.

Problem Solvers

Students think creatively and analytically to explore possibilities, generate original ideas, and design solutions. Over time, they develop the skills and mindset to persist through complexity with confidence and resourcefulness, transforming ideas into action. 

Self-Directed Learners

Students pursue challenges with initiative and resilience, practice purposeful risk-taking, and take ownership of their growth. Over time, they build the confidence to envision and navigate their own learning pathway, developing into lifelong learners and active trailblazers.
