ANNOUNCEMENTS
FLINT HILL STUDENTS TO COMPETE IN GLOBAL MATH COMPETITION
Our Upper School math students recently cracked real-world heat and energy crisis problems. Now they’re headed to New York to compete for a share of $100,000 in the global MathWorks Math Modeling (M3) Challenge.
COME TO THE UPPER SCHOOL MUSICAL!
The Theater Arts program shines the weekend of May 2-4 with the Upper School musical production of “She Loves Me,” which was revived on Broadway in 2016 to much acclaim. Reserve your tickets!
THERE’S A PLACE FOR YOU AT THE GOLF INVITATIONAL & SKILLS CLINIC – THURSDAY, MAY 22
Whether you're a once-a-week or a once-a-year golfer, join the Flint Hill community for a casual 18-hole golf scramble or Skills Social that brings together our community for a fun day on the links! Although you might not recognize many faces at first, don't be shy. This is a casual way to meet other Huskies at Westfields Golf Club on Thursday, May 22. Plus, we’re out there for a worthwhile cause — the Parents’ Association Endowment for Financial Aid in Honor of Sally Hazel. All abilities are welcome, so sign up today!
UPCOMING ATHLETIC EVENTS
Everyone is invited to come together to cheer our Huskies on to victory this spring. Check out our individual team schedules and come on out!
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION — YOUR INVITATION TO VOLUNTEER
All Flint Hill parents and guardians are automatically members of the Parents’ Association (PA). There are no dues. The role of the PA may be different from your current school. At its core, the PA exists to foster relationships within the parent community. Divisional Ambassadors volunteer to help parents meet each other, encourage attendance and participation in school events, and support the School’s mission, vision, and values.
Learn more about serving as a Division Ambassador. New parents are welcome to serve in their first year. To sign up, complete the brief form by Friday, May 16. Visit the Philanthropy and Parent Engagement table at New Parent Night to learn more about how to get involved.
If you have any questions about the Divisional Ambassador role, Parents’ Association President Rejera Arnold and Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement Meredith VanDuyne will be hosting an informal, virtual Q&A session on Tuesday, April 29, 7:30-8:00 p.m.
INVITATION TO KALEIDOSCOPE BOOK CLUB — MONDAY, MAY 5
Whether you're an avid reader or simply looking for a way to connect with your child's interests, the Kaleidoscope Book Club for parents offers a wonderful opportunity to engage with meaningful literature and build a supportive community.
We will take a dive into our final book of the year, “A Young People’s History of the United States” by Howard Zinn, on Monday, May 5, at 8:30 a.m. at Peterson Middle School, Room 204. Use this link to RSVP.
