    Meet the Flint Hill Community on the Course: Golf Invitational and Skills Social — Thursday, May 21

    Whether you’re a once-a-week golfer or never picked up a club, we invite you to join the Flint Hill community for a relaxed and fun day on the links. The Golf Invitational & Skills Social on Thursday, May 21, is a great opportunity for new parents to meet others, build connections, and feel part of the community right away — no experience needed!

    Plus, we’re out there for a worthwhile cause — the Parents’ Association Endowment for Financial Aid in Honor of Sally Hazel.

    Have 90 minutes? Head of School Patrick McHonett and his wife, Jessica, along with Flint Hill alum Caroline Gray ’08, are hosting a Skills Social in the morning. You’ll enjoy casual conversation, skills taught by pros, and lunch in the Clubhouse to connect with golfers arriving for the tourney. Plus, rental clubs are provided!

    Up for 18 holes? Register as an individual, and we will pair you with fellow Huskies. All abilities are welcome, so sign up today!

    Upper School Dance Team Tryouts and Open Practices (Rising Grades 7-12)

    Is your student interested in dance at Flint Hill? Join us for open practices this May to learn more about the team, practice skills, and prepare for tryouts in June. Students who will be in grades 7-12 next school year are invited to attend these technique clinics in the Upper School Gym.

    If you have a new student or students joining the Lower School and their proof of identification wasn’t verified last night, please schedule a 5-minute virtual meeting to complete this step.

    Course Placement and Registration — Placement Surveys This Week

    Don't forget to register your student(s) for this week's placement surveys, if applicable. A quick summary of course placement and registration for each division is below.

    Planning for Health Forms — All Forms Must Be Dated After May 1

    Required health forms for the 2026-27 school year will be available to print on Friday, May 1, in Husky Hub. Families will be able to upload completed forms on or after Saturday, June 13. All health forms must be uploaded by Saturday, August 1. Please note that all forms must be dated after May 1 to be valid for the upcoming school year. We encourage families to schedule medical appointments after May 1. Students will not be permitted to participate in preseason athletics or other school activities until all required health documentation has been received and approved.

    Additional reminders and guidance will be shared this summer from Athletics and Health Services to help you stay on track. For additional questions, please contact the Director of Health Services, Mary Hart.

    Arts Jam: Experience Our Performing Arts Program

    We invite you to join us for Flint Hill’s annual Arts Jam concert on Wednesday, April 15, 7:00-9:30 p.m. at the Center for the Arts on the Fairfax Campus of George Mason University. The concert reflects the heart of our Performing Arts program — creativity, collaboration, and the shared joy of making music together. It will be a wonderful night of entertainment that spotlights our talented percussion, choir, band, and musical theater ensembles.

    The performance is family-friendly and appropriate for all ages. Admission is free, and no reservations are necessary. Get more information about the venue, including a map and parking instructions.

    You can access our Resource Board in Husky Hub. On Monday, May 4, a tile titled Preparing for the 2026-27 School Year will be added to the Resource Board. It will include detailed information to help you prepare for the year ahead.

    While in Husky Hub, you can also click “Child’s Name” or “Children” to access information about your student(s) and click “Directories” to access the School’s Online Directory.
